David Pinkston returned to the Manila International Book Fair for his second appearance at the event, where he connected with Filipino readers and shared his Bible-centered works at Reading Glass Books' Booth 2-102 at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City.
Following his first MIBF appearance, Pinkston once again met with fairgoers during his book signing on September 10 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The event drew a steady stream of visitors, with attendees lining up to meet the author, learn more about his books, and have their displayed copies personally signed.
Interest in Pinkston's works remained strong throughout the signing. At several points, attendees waited in line to meet him, while some also expressed interest in taking additional copies. The copies prepared for the signing were eventually fully claimed by attendees, reflecting the enthusiastic response his works generated among MIBF attendees.
The Reading Glass Books display also featured promotional merchandise for visitors to take home, including brochures, notebooks, pens, and pins. Attendees were also able to receive a free CD featuring songs by Pinkston's longtime friend, Eddy Miller, adding another personal touch to the MIBF experience.
Pinkston's interest in biblical study began during his Christian journey in 1993 and developed over decades of independent research into the King James Bible. His experiences as a former member of the U.S. Army's 10th Special Forces and as a longtime technology professional also contributed to the diverse background that informed his approach to Scripture and biblical research.
Among the works featured at MIBF was “To Open One's Eyes,” which examined a range of biblical subjects, including creation, the Trinity, Jesus Christ, biblical prophecy, the seventieth week, and the prince of the world. The book explored passages and concepts that had been overlooked, misunderstood, or insufficiently taught, encouraging readers to examine Scripture more closely.
His other featured work, “The Untold Story of Satan's Seed,” examined the perspective on how deception entered the early church through imitation and later affected Christian teachings. Through a Scripture-centered discussion, the book invited readers to examine inherited doctrine, compare religious claims with the Word of God, and consider Christ as the foundation of faith.
Together, the two books represented Pinkston's continuing effort to encourage deeper engagement with biblical questions. Rather than simply presenting familiar interpretations, his work invited readers to examine Scripture closely, revisit long-held assumptions, and explore questions surrounding doctrine and faith.
His second appearance at MIBF provided an opportunity for readers to engage with these subjects directly. Beyond signing books, Pinkston spoke with attendees about his research, his approach to biblical study, and the ideas explored throughout his works.
The Manila International Book Fair brought together readers, authors, publishers, educators, and literary professionals from the Philippines and beyond.
