Virtual Tee Systems, the Denver-headquartered company behind custom, high-end golf simulator environments, today announced that its Big Dog Championship is moving into the semifinal round this weekend. Sponsored by Virtual Tee and Optoma, the premier competitive golf simulator league features a total purse of more than $10,000 and highlights the growing demand for serious, high-stakes simulator golf.

The semifinal field features two marquee matchups on April 12: JTWALSH10 vs. BBELZGOLF at 7:00 p.m. Eastern and CSTEPHENSON vs. BANDSAGGER at 8:30 p.m. Eastern. All four remaining players are currently ranked in the top 10 in the world on GSPro, and each semifinal winner will earn $1,000 and advance to the championship match. All matches will be streamed live on the Virtual Tee Systems YouTube page.

“We created the Big Dog Championship to bring the best simulator golfers together into one league,” said Adam Porter of Virtual Tee. “The goal was to give elite players a legitimate avenue to compete at a high level for meaningful money.”

The Big Dog Championship followed a 20-tournament regular season, with eight players advancing to bracket play after competing across two sessions of 10 tournaments each. According to event materials, $3,000 had already been awarded before the postseason even began, and the top three players in the overall standings earned the right to select their opponents from those who finished fifth through eighth. The championship is played in a gross match play format built for top-tier simulator golf competition.

The event also reflects Virtual Tee’s broader position in the simulator golf market. The company creates custom, high-end golf environments through local, hands-on design and installation, serves clients throughout the lower 48 states from its Denver headquarters, and works with partner brands that include GSPro and Optoma. Virtual Tee also highlights both residential and commercial golf simulator solutions as part of its national offering.

“This first season was about proving demand, and the response has been strong,” said Porter. “We are excited to keep building momentum with smaller events this summer before the next full season begins in fall 2026.”

Golf fans can watch the Big Dog Championship semifinals live on the Virtual Tee Systems YouTube page, with replays available after the event. Players, sponsors, and companies interested in future participation or partnerships can follow upcoming announcements from Virtual Tee Systems, while homeowners and businesses interested in a custom simulator can request a quote through the company website.
